What Led Me Into Counselling: My Conversation on A Cure For Wellness

I was recently a guest on A Cure For Wellness, hosted by Zoe at Radio Voice, and it was a joy to share a bit more about who I am and why I do this work.

In our conversation, we talked about what led me into counselling, and how I support women through relationship challenges, separation, parenting and the many changes life can bring. I also chatted about modern motherhood and the pressure for women to do it all, how family structures and women’s roles have changed, and how I work, really getting to understand my client’s world.

What you’ll hear in this episode

  • What drew me to counselling - when life flips you upside down and gives you alot of lived experience!

  • How I support women when life feels overwhelming

  • What it’s like to come to counselling for the first time

One thing I hope listeners take away is that you don’t have to wait until things feel unmanageable to ask for support. Sometimes it might just be alot of little things all at once, and a simply being listened to with empathy and no judgement can help so much.
